Coaching

Coaching is at the heart of St George’s Archery Club. Our team of qualified Archery GB coaches supports archers of every age and ability – juniors and seniors, newcomers and experienced shooters, competitors and those who shoot just for fun – across all bow types.

What’s on offer

  • Monthly Coaching Sundays – drop-in help and advice from a club coach, tailored to whatever you want to improve.
  • One-to-one coaching – our volunteer coaches can work with you individually to help you progress at your own pace.
  • Drills & Skills sessions – group sessions working on core technique you can practise on the range and at home.
  • Equipment advice – help with choosing, setting up and tuning your kit.

Coaching is free to all club members.

New to archery?

Everyone starts with a beginners’ course, run by our coaches, which covers safety and the basics of shooting. See Beginners Courses for details.

Interested in becoming a coach?

Members who want to give something back can train as a coach through Archery GB’s coaching pathway, starting at Session Coach level. Our coaching team is happy to help you take the first steps.
