Taking Part in Archery

New to archery, or coming back to it? Here’s how to get started at St George’s Archery Club.

1. Find out about our beginners’ courses

Most new archers start with one of our Archery GB-approved beginners’ courses. We run at least three a year, outdoors at our Allerton Park ground or indoors when a venue is available. Each course has one online session and two on-site sessions with qualified coaches, and all equipment is provided.

Read about our Beginners Courses – what’s covered, what to bring and common questions.

2. Register your interest

We keep a waiting list and offer places as courses are confirmed, based on time on the list and availability. Once you’ve read the course details, you can register from the bottom of the Beginners Courses page.

3. Join the club

Once you’ve completed the course you can join the club. Archers who have completed an Archery GB beginners’ course elsewhere, and lapsed Archery GB members, are also welcome, subject to a coach’s assessment.
